About the role

As a Graduate Engineer, you’ll work closely with our experienced engineering and operations team to support the design, assessment, verification, and certification of screw pile foundations.

You’ll be mentored by senior engineers and exposed to the full lifecycle of projects — from geotechnical interpretation and design calculations through to site inspections and final certification.

Your responsibilities will grow as your skills grow.

What you’ll be doing

Engineering & Technical Support

  • Assist with the design of screw/helical piles for compression, tension, uplift, and lateral loads
  • Interpret geotechnical reports, bore logs, and lab results
  • Prepare and assist with engineering calculations, reports, and capacity schedules
  • Support compliance with AS 2159, AS/NZS 1170, AS 4100, AS 3600
  • Help prepare engineering documentation including:
    • Design reports
    • Verification reports
    • Installation and compliance documentation
  • Support senior engineers with engineering sign-offs and certifications
  • Apply engineering judgement to real construction conditions
  • Assist with in-house testing programs for screw piles

Site & Project Exposure

  • Support field operations with inspections, observations, and testing
  • Work alongside project managers, drill crews, and fabricators
  • Participate in toolbox talks, design reviews, and project meetings
  • Provide technical support during installations when required

Learning & Development

  • Receive structured mentoring and on-the-job training
  • Build experience toward Chartered Engineer / RPEQ pathways
  • Develop strong foundations knowledge that sets you apart early in your career

What we’re looking for

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (recent graduate or final-year student)
  • Strong interest in geotechnical and foundation engineering
  • Solid understanding of structural mechanics and soil behaviour
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and get hands-on
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
  • Solid understanding of AI platforms
